The façades of the Casa dello smeraldo building incorporate a range of bespoke advanced technological solutions. They are structural curtain walls with glass/Alucobond sections and aluminium frame, with risers extruded to a custom drawing to ensure continuation for the polygonal shape of the prospects.
The glazing sequence was devised by the designer to ensure alternation between the full floor to ceiling fixed panels, with an approximate height of 3.5 m, and the smaller opening windows, for a visual effect that is both dynamic and elegant.
The height of the entrance hall extends over the three floors, for a spectacular effect. The risers are supported by brackets and exposed curved beams that define the arch shape of the overall composition.
On the opposite side of the building, the safety staircase compartment is also supported in the same way, defining the space as a continuous vertical feature.
Different specific solutions devised by Nicolli also for the covering, such as the Alucobond tip, which ends the composition of the tower on a high note.
